Manchester United and Chelsea in four-way battle royale for Andre Gomes

MANCHESTER UNITED and Chelsea are locked in a four-way battle royale for Valencia's £54million-rated Andre Gomes, according to reports.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and the two Premier League giants have all had bids rejected for the Portuguese midfielder, 22.

Los Che are refusing to budge on their £54m evaluation of Gomes, but Real could use a player as a makeweight in any deal.

Gomes scored five goals in all competitions last term and made 41 appearances for Valencia.
