Revealed: Chelsea boss Antonio Conte’s tactical masterplan as he plots Premier League success
The secret blueprint new Blues boss has drawn up at Stamford Bridge to deliver success for Roman Abramovich
CHELSEA boss Antonio Conte's plans for Premier League success have been revealed - a secret plot to play 4-2-4 next season.
The new Blues boss arrived at Stamford Bridge amid claims he was going to adopt the three-man defence that served him well during his time in charge of Juventus and Italy.
But Conte is already planning a new approach to combat the demands of the English game, going into matches with only two recognised midfielders and four attackers.
SunSport has obtained the tactical drawings for Conte's first game in charge of Chelsea when they lost 2-0 to a Rapid Vienna on Saturday.
And they clearly show he set his team up in a 4-2-4 formation aimed at being offensive right from the start.
Conte pushed wide-men Willian and Victor Moses into more advanced roles, joining Diego Costa and Rubens Loftus-Cheek in an attacking quartet.
That left Jon Obi Mikel and Nemanja Matic as the holding men,
confirming Conte's plans to play two in the vital central role next season.
When the club announced the £30million signing of N'Golo Kante over the weekend the Chelsea boss was keen to point out how the Frenchman was able to play as pair.
Conte said: “We identified him, me and the club together, and I think
Kante can give a lot to Chelsea, to enforce a zone which is very important if we want to play with two central midfielders.
“He showed last season he’s able to play with another midfielder. I think with this player we’ve reinforced the squad.”
The Italian has also been quick to draw up plans for set-piece routines for the side, with Willian earmarked to be on corner duty already.
And in another offensive move, Conte only wants to keep ONE defender back at corners as he attempts to pile the pressure on his opponents.
The defeat in Austria was a disappointment but Rapid were five weeks ahead of Chelsea in terms of fitness and had already played a competitive game this season.
Conte will not even have his full squad available to him for match action for a further week as the players on Euro 2016 duty start to filter back into pre-season following short holidays.

But already mapped out for his entire squad are their hydration and supplements programmes as they build up their fitness and stamina ahead of the big kick-off against West Ham on August 15.
Some are able to take on energy during matches while others are only allowed water, according to the meticulous dietary plans that have been put in place.
