LUKE BERRY proved to be the star of the FA Cup second round as he scored all four goals for Cambridge in their 4-0 demolition of Coventry City.

What's more, it saw a League Two team completely dominate a side from the league above, as the Sky Blues slumped to a fourth straight defeat.

With only five minutes on the clock, midfielder Berry was in the right place at the right time to steer in a cross from George Maris.

Berry completed his hat-trick in the 38th minute when he drilled home from a pass by Piero Mingoia as the game was effectively won by half-time.

The visitors, unsurprisingly made a double substitution at the interval, bringing on pacy winger Kyel Reid and Chris McCann for Callum Maycock and Cian Harries respectively.

But it failed to pay off, and Berry added some gloss to the scoreline, and his personal haul, when he netted after being laid on by Brad Halliday.

The crowd rose to their feet a minute later, and rightly so, when the Cambridge hero was replaced by Harrison Dunk.

Coventry have now being knocked out of the FA Cup at the same stage for the past three seasons, all to lower league opposition.
