HOW'S BAT FOR IMPACT?

Michy Batshuayi scores with first touch after coming on as Tottenham and West Ham line up transfer bid

Marseilles striker did nothing to harm his reputation against Hungary after hinting he wants to leave Ligue 1

MICHY Batshuayi has already issued a come-and-get-me plea to Premier League clubs, and we may be set for a transfer scramble this summer.

The Marseilles striker has already hinted that his future lies away from the south of France.

But the 22-year-old has just let the whole of Europe sit up and take notice after an instant impact.

Batshuayi came on to replace Romelu Lukaku with 15 minutes to play against Hungary and Marc Wilmots' team leading 1-0.

And with his first touch, the Belgian forward slotted home a low cross from Eden Hazard to double his team's lead in the last-16 clash.

It is the kind of predator instinct that drew Chelsea, Tottenham and West Ham towards the striker.

Chelsea have pondered making a bid for Batshuayi, who has demanded £100,000 a week if he was to move to Tottenham.

Spurs are yet to meet Marseilles’ asking price for the former Standard Liege man and are also hesitant over his wage demands, which would make him the joint-highest earner at the club.

Tottenham were heavily reliant on Harry Kane last season, who started every Premier League match and won the Golden Boot for his 25 goals.

And a second striker of the calibre of Batshuayi could be what Mauricio Pochettino's side need to launch another title challenge this season.
