The playing surface was transformed into a traditional French garden as dancers decked in blue, red and white were quickly replaced by can-can girls.

DJ David Guetta performed a number of hits after emerging from a bizarre gazebo in the centre circle.

And he was joined by Swedish beauty Zara Larsson before the French Air Force performed a fly past.

As the teams emerged from the tunnel, the crowd raised cards to display flags of every country participating in the tournament.
