The European Championships get underway on Friday
EURO 2016 is just hours away, but before the festival of football begins this Friday, there is something big which has to happen first – the opening ceremony!
The curtain-raiser will take place on Friday at 7pm at the Stade de France, one hour before the Paris stadium holds the first game of the tournament – hosts France vs Romania in their Group A clash.
It will feature a performance from none other than French superstar DJ David Guetta.
Guetta, who has sold more than 9 million albums worldwide, has been given his own title for the tournament too, he will be known as the "Musical Ambassador" for the European Championships in his native country.

Guetta, known for his dance hits When Love Takes Over and Titanium, said: "Music and football go hand in hand when it comes to celebration and enjoyment and I want to help to make this Euro the biggest and most memorable yet."
Guetta has also written the official song for the tournament, titled This One's For You, which he will perform during the 30-minute show.
