Fantasy football: Biggest Premier League player price changes since the start of the season

The Premier League season has provided plenty of ups and downs already - and the same can be said for fantasy football.

Numerous players on Dream Team have experienced dramatic price changes since the summer, with one player's price rising by a massive £2.0m.

Let's have a look at the biggest winners and losers so far, shall we?

Positive price changes

1 Andrew Robertson (+£2.0m)

It's been another sensational season for Liverpool's Roberson.

In fact, he's been so good, that he's now widely considered one of the best left-backs in the world.

He's also been a fantasy football darling this term, rubbing shoulders with the best defenders you can pick on Dream Team and is currently gracing nearly 40% of teams.

Back in the summer, you could pick him up for a bargain £3.0m, but after a string of points-scoring performances throughout the campaign he's now a slightly pricier £5.0m.

2 Matt Doherty (+£1.9m)

Wolves' players have been so good this season, that picking them in your Dream Team almost feels like cheating.

We've been seeing the best of Raul Jimenez lately (more on him below) while Ruben Neves is a midfield-favourite, but perhaps the best of the lot has been Doherty.

Widely considered the best bargain signing on fantasy football at the moment, Doherty has picked up a fairly incomprehensible 120 points so far and is still valued at just £3.4m on the game.

Imagine picking him at the start of the season, when he was just £1.5m?

3 Raul Jimenez (+£1.9m)

If you're looking for a cheap but effective forward for your Dream Team, then this little Mexican could be your man.

Leading the line for Wolves' charge up the table, Jimenez has notched nine goals in the Premier League this season and six in all competitions since the end of December.

He's certainly a man in-form right now and that's seen his price sky-rocket.

4 Aaron Wan-Bissaka (+£1.9m)

After Crystal Palace's win over Fulham at the weekend, manager Roy Hodgson was positively bursting with good things to say about Wan-Bissaka's brilliant display.

He said: "He actually made a mistake in the 94th minute and I was relieved because I was starting to think he might be a robot."

In terms of breakout stars this season, Palace's full-back has been among the best in the division and it's no wonder he's turned into a Dream Team must-have.

5 Callum Wilson (+£1.8m)

Wilson has finally enjoyed a Premier League campaign that hasn't been interrupted by a big injury.

Since Bournemouth's promotion, the striker has endured lengthy spells on the sidelines; having ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in BOTH of his knees in the last two years.

But he's seemingly back to his best this term and has managed 10 goals in the Premier League, making him a start-of-season bargain at just £2.5m.

Negative price changes

1 Jorginho (-£1.8m)

We all expected so much more, didn't we?

It's fair to say that Jorginho has been one of the biggest fantasy football disappointments of the season, having recorded just one goal and no assists for Chelsea in the Premier League so far.

His lack of attacking contribution means he's got just 36 points to his name on Dream Team, meaning his price has plummeted since the summer.

2 Mateo Kovacic(-£1.7m)

It's been the same story with Jorginho's midfield partner Kovacic.

The Croatian has just two assists to his name in the league and no goals, meaning he's picked up just the 29 points on Dream Team.

3 Maxime Le Marchand (-£1.5m)

Some of you might've considered snapping up this cheap defender at the start of the season.

On paper, at least, Le Marchand seemed like a great option at the back.

But with a points total of -9 right now - one of the worst on the entire game - it's fair to say that he's been one of the worst players you could've picked up.

It's little surprise then that his £2.0m start-of-the-season price is now down to just £0.5.

4 Naby Keita (-£1.5m)

Alongside Jorginho, Keita was the other big-money midfield signing we were looking forward to seeing in the Premier League this season.

But much like Jorginho, he's looked positively average so far.

Often fielded out of position on the left flank of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side, Keita has looked a shadow of the player that wowed fans in Germany last year.

15 points on Dream Team at the time of writing is a far cry from what we expected of him by this stage of the season.

5 Alexis Sanchez (-£1.4m)

Once upon a time, Sanchez was one of the best players you could pick for your Dream Team.

But a lot has changed since then, including the Chilean's employers.

Since moving from Arsenal to Man United in January last year, Sanchez has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Red Devils' starting line-up, but is perhaps beginning to enjoy a resurgence under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Even so, his price is unthinkably cheap right now.
