The Liverpool players likely to earn the most Dream Team points this season

YOU can't really go wrong picking Liverpool players in your Dream Team.

But the easy mistake managers do make is picking the WRONG Liverpool players to maximise returns.

For example, Mo Salah (£7.5m) is only the third-most picked player in Dream Team this season.

That despite the Egyptian King amassing a remarkable 331 points last year.

And he was the ONLY player to hit 300+ points.

Salah joins Harry Kane as the most expensive player in the whole game but his points return last year merits that cost.

At Dream Team HQ, we expected his return to mean sacrifices would be made elsewhere so nearly everyone would get him in their sides.

But that's not the case - so where else in the Liverpool side can you earn points.

Playmaker at right-back, Trent Alexander-Arnold (£6.5m) is another expensive choice.

But the ability to pick up plenty of clean sheet points added to his assists and goal tallies make him a sure-fire way to climb your leaderboards.

Alongside Virgil van Dijk (£6m) and Andy Robertson (£5.5m) they pose defensive strength and a real chance in attack.

Without Sadio Mane this year, the impact of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez (both £5m) will be crucial.

Diaz was an instant hit with the Anfield faithful after his January arrival and will surely have even more game time and impact with that six months under his belt.

Better yet, he's a MIDFIELDER for the game's purpose!

Nunez joined this summer is a mammoth transfer switch and bagged four goals against Leipzig - all in the second half.

He comes with big expectations but could return a big dividend as the club's main striker and is comparably cheaper against the likes of Harry Kane (£7.5m), Erling Haaland (£7m) and Cristiano Ronaldo (£6.5m).

Both players have been extremely with managers popular as a result.

Alongside Ederson, Alisson is the most expensive keeper in the game which isn't at all surprising. That isn't putting managers off though as he is amongst the popular picks between the sticks.

Fabio Carvalho (£2m) is the new kid on the block and it will be intereting to see in what capacity he is used this season and could prove good value if seeing game time.

In midfield, the likes of Thiago (£2.5m), Fabinho (£3m) and Jordan Henderson (£2m) will rack up plenty of minutes and could also prove good if able to help in the attacking side of the game.

Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott (£2m) will be hoping to make a bigger impact in the first team this team around.
