The Arsenal stars worth a spot in your Dream Team as new season approaches
THE new Premier League season is inching ever closer and that means getting your Dream Team selections picked NOW.
And why wouldn't you? There's unlimited transfers up until the big kick-off!
The Gunners just missed out on a Champions League spot last year - losing out to bitter rivals Tottenham - but they have invested heavily in the early part of the summer window as they bid to close the gap.
Gabriel Jesus (£5m) has already proved to be extremely popular with Dream Team managers - and Arsenal fans - as he gets set for a sustained run in the team.
The former Manchester City man joined in a deal worth around £46million and has looked very sharp in pre-season so far.
Mikel Arteta knows him well from his days at the Etihad and will be hoping he makes a difference for the club who scored less goals than the top three, Spurs and Leicester last season.
Eddie Nketiah (£2.5m) led the line really well towards the tail-end of last season and could get more chances in the side after signing a bumper new contract.
Another man who is proving very popular is midfielder Bukayo Saka (£4m).
The versatile 20-year-old has earned plaudits from all quarters for his leadership and performances in an Arsenal jersey.
He was a reliable Dream Team performer last season having featured in every Premier League game - starting 36 of those - and scoring 11 goals in the process.
His seven assists would likely have been more with a striker to aim for in the middle, just as he'll have this year.
Saka is a midfielder in Dream Team but finds himself in more attacking areas than defensive and could prove a cracking value-for-money option.
Saka and Jesus both made Piers Morgan's XI, alongside goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale (£3m) who is also relatively popular at this stage.
Martin Odegaard (£3m) is another who could prove good value after seven goals and four assists last season.
Emile Smith Rowe (£3m) bagged ten goals last season, while Gabriel Martinelli (£2.5m) will be hoping this is his year to cement his first-team status.
Fabio Vieira (£3m) was another to join on a big contract for a lot of money, which could suggest he'll get a prolonged run in the team.
The former Porto star's attacking midfield credentials could bring huge returns if a partnership with Jesus is struck early.
He racked up a tremendous 14 assists and six goals in 27 Liga Portugal appearances last year.
Kieran Tierney (£3m) will be hoping for a bit of luck with injuries this season and will have pressure from Oleksandr Zinchenko (£3.5m) when his move goes through.
Ben White (£3m), Gabriel (£3m) and William Saliba (£2.5m) are all reasonably priced but the team needs a better defensive record than the 48 goals they shipped last year.
