Jadon Sancho has banked 31 Dream Team points in the last three Game Weeks
THERE'S no denying the fact Jadon Sancho (£2.8m) started the season at a snail's pace.
The 21-year-old arrived at Manchester United to much fanfare but struggled to make an impact initially.
Lacking the incisiveness and unbridled confidence that allowed him to rack up plentiful goal involvements for Borussia Dortmund, he looked unsure of his role at his new club and was certainly hindered by the disjointed build-up play that has persistently hindered the Red Devils in recent times.
However, under Ralf Rangnick's watch, it appears Sancho is blooming into the player the Old Trafford faithful hoped he would be from the get-go.
The former Manchester City youngster has scored two goals and provided two assists in his last five appearances in all competitions.
On Sunday, his role in exploiting Leeds' vulnerable defence earned him the Star Man award by the time the dust settled at Elland Road, his first of the season.
Add in some 7+ ratings and Sancho has produced 31 points in the last three Game Weeks, making him one of the most in-form assets in that time.
While this is certainly encouraging, it's only right we acknowledge the fact his overall points tally of 49 remains disappointing.
For comparison, Marcus Forss (£2.5m) achieved 50 points for Brentford before he joined Hull on loan in January.
In fact, Sancho blanked in his first 14 games and didn't get off the mark until Game Week 12 when he scored against Villarreal.
Man United's No25 currently features in 10.5% of teams and his backers will be hoping for more points on Wednesday night when he takes on Atletico Madrid in the Champions League round of 16 first leg.
The Red Devils then have a favourable match-up against Watford next weekend.
However, March looks to be a challenging month for Man United assets with Man City, Tottenham and Liverpool to play in the league as well as the second leg against Diego Simeone's troops.
It will be interesting to see Sancho's improved form withstands a testing run of fixtures.
