Man Utd star Paul Pogba has a new haircut – and fans think Souness is going to be furious about it

PAUL POGBA'S sharp new haircut has red and white stripes and his initials shaved into the side and fans think Graeme Souness will be seething.

The Frenchman has missed United's last three games with an ankle injury including Sunday's woeful defeat at West Ham and supporters think old school Souness will surely have something to say about his new trim.

Despite the recent injury, United's talisman was fit enough to nip down the barbers for a fresh new do ahead of United's League Cup clash with Rochdale at Old Trafford tomorrow.

The 26-year-old is expected to return to action against the League One side which will be music to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's ears.

Pogba's barber took to Instagram to show off his client's new look.

He posted a photo alongside the caption: "PP is back 🔥🚨 @paulpogba  —— Styled using: ."

Ahmed Alsanawi is the self-taught hairdresser behind A Star Barbers which is hugely popular with famous footballers.

Pogba is such a big fan of the snipper, he even flew Alsanawi out to Moscow during last year's World Cup so he could tend to the barnets of his teammates.

And after his nation walked away with winners medals, the former Juventus midfielder had stars died into his hair to celebrate the win.

But his latest cut split opinion - with many pointing to his team's recent form as a reason to keep a low profile.

One posted: "His hair is bad like his play."

Others saw the funnier side and referenced Souness' apparent disdain for Pogba in the past.

One posted a mock quote from Souness and said: "Graeme Souness: 'Lionel Messi won the best player of the year award but you’ve got to question Paul Pogba’s attitude. His haircuts are starting to annoy me.'”

While Footballer Survivor said: "If only Paul Pogba spent as much time training as he does perfecting his hair!' - Graeme Souness, probably."

Some fans were more supportive of the midfielder despite the fact he made clear his desire to leave Old Trafford in the summer.

Joseph Helder replied: "Things we love to see."

And Vincecutz said: "This is dope."

The Frenchman recently splashed out £15,000 on a guard dog after being targeted by raging Man Utd fans.
