Roy Keane slams Man United’s lack of leaders and says it’s ‘scary’ how far they’ve fallen

ROY KEANE says it's "scary" how far Manchester United have fallen in recent times following their latest disappointing defeat.

Sunday's 2-0 loss at West Ham was just another downturn for the Red Devils - who are still without an away league win since February.

Former captain Keane played at Old Trafford in different times, winning seven Premier League titles and the Champions League, and finds it hard to accept that those days are long gone.

He told Sky Sports after the final whistle: "I don’t know where to start.

"I’m shocked and saddened how bad they were today.

"You can lose a game of football but everything about the game, about United - lacklustre, no quality, a lack of desire, leaders, character. And it’s a long way back for them.

Jose Mourinho added that they were "no" positives for the team with "no improvement" since last season.

Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell scored late in each half to secure the points for the Hammers, lifting them above United in the table.

And there was more bad news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the injury front as Marcus Rashford came off during the second-half.

Replaced by Jesse Lingard, Rashford went straight down the tunnel while suffering from an apparent groin problem.

But the problems run deeper than the queue outside the phsyio's room with the visitors managing just three shots on goal in a lukewarm affair at London Stadium.

Such was the sluggish nature of the first-half on Sunday, one United fan was pictured asleep on the man she had attended the game with.
