Man Utd duo Mason Greenwood and Jesse Lingard both in line for new contracts following David De Gea and Victor Lindelof’s extensions

MASON GREENWOOD and Jesse Lingard are both reportedly in line for new Manchester United contracts.

The Red Devils have tied down a number of key players over the past 12 months with goalkeeper David de Gea and defender Victor Lindelof becoming the latest to commit their futures this week.

The 17-year-old Greenwood, expected to start against Astana in the Europa League tonight, only turned pro a year ago and is £800-a-week.

Now the claim he will be rewarded for his rapid rise into the first-team fold with a bumper new deal to thwart the threat of potential interest from the continent’s big guns.

England international midfielder Lingard, on £50,000-a-week, is another United want to keep long-term.

Sun Sport revealed in June he is line for a pay rise that would take him to £130,000-a-week.

The 26-year-old’s potential contract extension is, along with Greenwood, considered to be one of the top priorities by Old Trafford chiefs.

He is halfway through the four-year deal he penned back in 2017.

United are not expected to have any issues in convincing the duo to stay – although it might be hard persuading another of their main priorities.

Paul Pogba, who has been linked with Real Madrid for months, enters the final 12 months of his United contract next summer.

The Red Devils are desperate to avoid letting their £89m club-record signing move as a free agent.

And they will go all out to tempt him to commit his future to the club by offering him a significant pay rise.

But they may face a big fight in persuading him to stay after both Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola and his brother Mathias recently casting doubt over his United future.

The latter claimed earlier this week that it is common knowledge Madrid boss Zidane is a big fan of his sibling.

Mathias, a player for Spanish four tier outfit Manchego, said to Radio Marca: “Zidane wanted players, he didn't get them, but I have no doubt that he's going to do the work he needs to do in order to get the team back to the level he wants.

“I like Zidane and he likes my brother - everyone knows it.”

Raiola tried his best to instigate a summer exit for his client.

And he said: “Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”
