The Red Devils are struggling for goals with just eight in five games.
And former Manchester City star Sancho, 19, would add electric pace as well as addressing a lack of cutting edge after starring at Borussia Dortmund.
While playmaker Maddison, 22, earned his an England call-up this month after continuing his form with Leicester.
Daniel James is United's top scorer this season after hitting the ground running since his summer switch.
But it has been better news at the back, with the additions of Maguire and Wan-Bissaka firming up the defence.
