Man Utd ‘to make £60m-plus transfer bid for Maddison’ next summer after nabbing Leicester ace Maguire
JAMES MADDISON could follow Harry Maguire to Manchester United in another huge deal with Leicester, reports say.
England Under-21 playmaker Maddison, an unused sub last week for Gareth Southgate's senior side against Bulgaria and Kosovo, would cost at least £60million.
Just a month after United paid an £85m world-record fee for a defender to sign Maguire, the suggest his former team-mate Maddison heads Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's wishlist for next summer.
Apart from 26-year-old Maguire, Old Trafford boss Solskjaer showed in the last transfer window he prefers to recruit youngsters still developing.
Newcomers Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James, both 21, are already in United's starting line-up.
And midfielder Maddison has begun this campaign in even better form than during his breakthrough season last term.
The 22-year-old has caught the eye of other top Prem clubs like Manchester City and Liverpool.
And although Maddison has three and a half years left on his Foxes' contract, both he and Leicester would find a massive bid hard to resist come next summer.
Chelsea's Mason Mount has so far edged Maddison out in this season's battle from the bench for a full England cap.

And on Saturday the Norwegian got the ideal chance to assess Maddison as he played the whole game when United leapfrogged Leicester into fourth place with a 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
