TOTTENHAM chairman Daniel Levy is ready to break the bank to tempt Christian Eriksen to finish his career at the club with a five-year £60million deal.
The Denmark international is reportedly being offered £230,000-a-week along with bonuses to put him alongside Harry Kane as the club's top earners.
Eriksen is out of contract in May and is thought to want to move to Spain, with Real Madrid and Barcelona linked with the talisman.
But after talks with boss Mauricio Pochettino, Levy is desperate to keep a player who has been pivotal to Spurs' success over the last four years, including reaching last season's Champions League final.
The Dane has scored 50 Premier League goals in 198 starts.
But it is his role as the assist king which has forced Levy's hand to try a last-ditch move to keep him, .
Had the Londoners been able to sign him on a longer deal or sold him two years ago, they would surely have attracted a £100m-plus fee for a player who has been in the top five for Premier League assists for the last four seasons.
Eriksen, 27, can sign a pre-contract with a foreign club from January.
He has already snubbed a £200,000-a-week offer from Spurs.
It was claimed he was house-hunting in Madrid this summer.

Pochettino left Eriksen out of his starting line-up for two of the first three games of this season as he grew frustrated at speculation linking the player with a move abroad.
The midfielder could still leave if a big offer comes in in January.
He has also been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid and link up with former team-mate Kieran Trippier.
