Madrid boss Zidane has been a long-term admirer of his compatriot and plans to make a serious effort to sign the 28-year-old at the end of the season.

SunSport reported yesterday that the Spanish giants made their interest in the midfielder known earlier this year and Chelsea have agreed to give them a heads-up if they are willing to sell.

The Athletic adds that Madrid are set to make a renewed effort to land Pogba next year, with the prospect of landing the World Cup-winning duo greatly appealing to Zidane.
