Man Utd star Paul Pogba ‘agreed massive £429,000-a-week deal with PSG before deadline day but transfer broke down because of Neymar’

PAUL POGBA reportedly agreed a £429,000-a-week deal with Paris Saint-Germain - but the move collapsed because of Neymar.

The French midfielder, 26, emerged as a top target for the Ligue 1 champions, Barcelona and Real Madrid this summer.

Paul Pogba's move to France relied on Neymar's departure from Parc des Princes

According to Italian outlet , United agreed a deal to sell him to PSG just days before the transfer window closed.

It is reported that the only reason he did not make the move is because Neymar did not complete his switch back to Barcelona.

The Brazilian's transfer back to his former club fell through as they could not meet PSG's £273million valuation.

As a result, Pogba missed out on the £22million-per-year salary that was put forward by Thomas Tuchel's side.

It is also reported that sportswear giants Adidas also played a major role in Pogba not leaving this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted he was willing to sell the 26-year-old as he looked to refresh his squad after the shocking end to the 2018/19 campaign.
