Robbie Keane pays ultimate price for trolling Cristiano Ronaldo as Portuguese breaks Euros qualifiers goals record by scoring four against Lithuania
CRISTIANO RONALDO amazingly shut down Robbie Keane after being teased about his European qualifiers goals record - by smashing FOUR past Lithuania.
Ireland legend Keane uploaded a picture to Instagram playfully taunting the Portuguese over his better tally in qualifying.
Ronaldo went into last night's clash on 20 goals - three behind the leading scorer.
Keane, 39, wrote in a post: "I think you have enough records @cristiano... Leave this one," alongside a crying with laughter emoji.
But Juventus superstar Ronaldo, 34, took no mercy on the former Tottenham striker with a ruthless display against Lithuania.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner opened the scoring with an eighth-minute penalty and netted a stunning 15-minute hat-trick in the second half.
His heroics kept Portugal second in Group B, five points behind Ukraine with a game in hand.
And super Ron is now just 16 behind Iran legend Ali Dael's incredible record for most international goals with 109 strikes.
But the ever-modest Portuguese said: "I'm having a good time, but the team was doing very well too.
"I am happy and enjoying this moment, not because I scored the goals, but because of the level we have been able to demonstrate in recent years.
