Cristiano Ronaldo scores FOUR for Portugal with help from hilarious HOWLER by Lithuania goalkeeper
CRISTIANO RONALDO scored his EIGHTH hat-trick for Portugal in yet another ruthless display from the Juventus star.
Ron, 34, bagged FOUR goals in the 5-1 Euro 2020 qualifier win over Lithuania – but one owed much to the opposing goalkeeper.
Ronaldo’s first of the night came from the penalty spot after just seven minutes, a goal that means CR7 has now scored against FORTY different countries.
His second was the stand out strike of the lot after Ernestas Setkus made a hilariously awful gaffe.
With Ronaldo’s shot from outside the box bobbling towards him, the Lithuania goalkeeper dived to his right to save it.
While he got to the ball, Setkus only managed to push it up into the air before it bounced off his shoulder and into the back of the net.
The dreadful mistake saw Portugal regain the lead and Ronaldo ripped them apart from there.
Minutes later he tapped in from the six yard box to complete his hat-trick, the 54th of his career.
He then expertly guided the ball into the far corner with a first-time shot to score his and Portugal’s fourth of the night before William Carvalho added a fifth in injury time.

The four goals took Ronaldo’s international tally to 93 – putting the century of goals in touching distance.
While the game will be best remembered for Ronaldo's goal frenzy, there were anxious moments when a fan approached him on the pitch.
However the rogue supporter only appeared to be after a selfie with his hero and was quickly led away by security.
