Sergio Ramos tells Paul Pogba the ‘door is open’ to quit Man Utd for Real Madrid

SERGIO RAMOS is setting up Real Madrid's next Paul Pogba pursuit after talking up the Manchester United midfielder.

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane failed to sign his fellow Frenchman, 26, this summer as Old Trafford chiefs played hardball.

But Ramos, 33, hailed Pogba's talents in a bid to make sure the superstar knows he is always welcome at the Bernabeu.

He told the . “For me, Pogba is one of the great players.

"I think Real Madrid always has the door open for good players such as him.

“He is different and he has shown his value at Juventus and now Manchester United.

“I think he brings balance to a team. He has a great offensive influence and he has this amazing physique.”

Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier is less impressed with Pogba, however.

The penalty king watched him miss a spot-kick against Wolves and claims his technique does not cut it.

He said: "Paul Pogba’s penalty record is far worse than that of Marcus Rashford.

"I was never overly keen on Pogba’s run-up because it used to take so long, it became a bit of theatre and he wasn’t taking it seriously.

"It was all about trying to promote himself as being the big showman and the big ‘Here I am’ without concentrating on the job in hand.

"The way Rashford takes penalties is actually far better and if I was the manager he would be the designated penalty-taker."
