Alexis Sanchez ‘dreaming’ of permanent Inter transfer to escape Man Utd hell for good
ALEXIS SANCHEZ is eyeing a permanent switch to Inter Milan at the end of the season, according to reports.
The Chilean finally ended his Manchester United nightmare by completing a loan deal at the Serie A giants last week.
In total, Sanchez scored just five times in 45 appearances for the Red Devils since his high-profile 2018 transfer from Arsenal.
And it appears United’s feelings towards Sanchez remain mutual with the 30-year-old desperate not to make an Old Trafford return.
According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, Sanchez is “dreaming” of completing a permanent move despite his Inter deal having no obligation to buy him outright.
WAGING AN ISSUE
His £505,000-a-week wage at United will remain the biggest stumbling block with United still funding a remarkable £400k to get him out the door.
They believed he was wildly overpaid and undeserving of his mammoth pay packet following his dramatic loss in form.
One player repeatedly complained: “He was no Messi so why pay him all that dough.”
He still has a contract at United for another three years.
Sanchez could make his Inter Milan debut when they take on Udinese on Saturday.
