Aubameyang ‘likes’ post calling for Arsenal team-mate Xhaka to be sold
GRANIT XHAKA'S much-slated start to the Arsenal season has hit a new low after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang "liked" an Instagram post calling for his team-mate to be sold.
Supporters unhappy with Switzerland midfielder Xhaka pounced gleefully when they saw striker Aubameyang's amazing response to a tirade on Arsenal fans' channel .
But Xhaka, 26, won backing from others as an "important midfielder" for an Arsenal side who have started solidly in the Premier League, seven points from four games leaving them fifth.
The Swiss captain opened the season as Gunners skipper, in a 1-0 victory at Newcastle.
But after missing a 2-1 home win over Burnley through injury, he came under fire when returning to start the next two Prem matches.
The Gunners were over-run in mid-pitch as Liverpool won 3-1 at Anfield.
Then Xhaka's ridiculous foul on Son Heung-min enabled Harry Kane to put Spurs 2-0 up with a penalty in a 2-2 draw at the Emirates.
But after Aubameyang got Arsenal off the hook with a 71st minute leveller, it seems he has now put Xhaka back on it and helped some fans hang him out to dry.
