Furious Wales fans want ‘bland’ Ryan Giggs sacked after Man Utd legend scrapes win against Azerbaijan

FURIOUS Wales fans have demanded "bland" Ryan Giggs be sacked after his side scraped a win against Azerbaijan with Gareth Bale's last-minute winner.

Supporters from the principality vented their anger and called for the head of the Manchester United legend after a mediocre performance against the pointless Group E minnows.

The 2-1 win got Wales' campaign back on track but most fans were unimpressed by either the result or the football served up by the Euro 2016 semi-finalists.

One fan, Nathen Amin, called Giggs out on Twitter.

He posted: "When full time whistle goes, Giggs should walk from the touchline straight to his car, drive out of Cardiff, across the Bridge, and never return.

"A bland man and a bland manager. Next please."

Another supporter, Robert James, posted: "Walking out of the stadium everyone in agreement Giggs isn’t the man to take us forward."

Elis James said: "I can’t help but feel that a generation of talented Welsh players is being wasted, and it’s very hard to watch."

Another Twitter user called Chasing the Dragon, moaned: "Not sure if Giggs is positively impacting, at all."

JHalbert95 posted: "Wanted Giggs to prove everyone wrong but inevitably he hasn’t. The results on paper aren’t horrendous, but the performances are awful.

"Giggs is still experimenting in qualifiers at this stage. Still doesn’t know his best team/formation/style of play. #GiggsOut"

Giggs has struggled to win over the fans since replacing popular Chris Coleman in January 2018.

His side have struggled in these qualifiers and have two wins and two losses.

Bale scored his 32nd international goal on 84 minutes to break Azerbaijan's stubborn resistance.
