Juventus ‘offered PSG £90m plus Dybala in bid to pair Neymar with Ronaldo’ in frightening attack
JUVENTUS offered Paris Saint-Germain £90million and Paulo Dybala in a desperate bid to pair Neymar with Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, claims reports in Italy.
Neymar, 27, made no bones about the fact he was desperate to quit the Ligue 1 side this summer, with Juve launching an incredible offer.
The Serie A champions had aimed to bring the Brazilian in to partner up with Ronaldo, 34, in a fearsome front-line, according to Tuttosport.
A host of summer moves appear to have hinged on Argentine outcast Dybala.
Both Manchester United and Tottenham had hoped to land the Juventus forward this summer, but pulled out due to image rights issues.
As it was, Dybala - along with Neymar - stayed put, meaning a hatful of would-be transfers never transpired.
NO NEY HOMECOMING
Neymar is yet to feature for PSG this season as he aimed to force a move "home" to Barcelona after quitting the Nou Camp in a £198m move in 2017.
However, with the transfer window now done and dusted, he is expected to break back into Thomas Tuchel's starting XI.
Yet Neymar will now have to do battle with more competition up top after another star who was itching to quit his club joined the Parisien giants, Mauro Icardi.
The Argentine, 26, joined the Parc des Princes outfit this summer on a season-long loan as he finally got out of Inter Milan after a controversial year.
