MAURO ICARDI has joined Paris Saint-Germain on loan with a £64million option to buy.
The former Inter Milan ace's wife and agent Wanda Nara arrived in the French capital earlier on Monday to put the finishing touches on the deadline day move.
The Argentine forward, 26, will link up with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in a lethal attack that also boats Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria.
Icardi has also signed a contract extension that extends his terms to 2022.
He was told earlier this summer that he was surplus to requirements at the San Siro by new boss Antonio Conte.
Inter then backed up their words with action as they splashed £73m on Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku.
But when Icardi's proposed switch to Juventus failed to materialise, it seemed Conte – who has a history of alienating strikers – would be stuck with the Argentina international.
However, PSG made a late loan move for Icardi.
Inter released the briefest of statements on their website - barely even acknowledging the striker's six seasons at the club in which he served as club captain and scored 124 goals in 219 matches.
Icardi was also named Serie A footballer of the year in 2018 and made the team of the season twice in his time at the San Siro.
Valencia were also looking at a loan deal for the ex-Sampdoria hitman.
But the chance to link up with Neymar and Mbappe proved to be too good to turn down for Icardi.
Meanwhile, his feud with Inter is set to continue after reports claimed he will sue the club for being denied permission to train.
Icardi has apparently been left out of Conte’s pre-game tactical sessions and mini-match drills.
