Arsenal fans desperate to see Mustafi and Mkhitaryan transfers go through… and hope Xhaka joins them

ARSENAL fans are desperate to see Shkodran Mustafi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan seal transfers away from the club… and hope Granit Xhaka could be the next to join them.

Unai Emery has ramped up his summer clear-out during the last week of the European window, and has already flogged out-of-favour Nacho Monreal and Mohamed Elneny.

Mkhitaryan has already arrived in Rome to seal a season-long loan with the Serie A giants that also includes an option to buy at the end of the season.

While Mustafi has emerged as a shock target for Roma's league rivals Juventus following news of Giorgio Chiellini's ACL injury.

And Arsenal fans are desperate to see the backs of the unpopular duo, but are still holding out hope that misfit Xhaka will be the next out the exit door.

One said: "Mkhitaryan & Mustafi out today please. Transfer or bin, not fussed. If you get time Xhaka as well but whatever, we can wait for January on that".

Another added: "Can we PLEASE say goodbye to Mustafi, Xhaka & Mkhitaryan before 10:59:59 (today)?"

While a third tweeted: "With Miki gone and hopefully Mustafi and Xhaka not far behind do we trust this manager to get the best out of this talented squad? Not sure tbh........"

Xhaka came under recent fire for handing Spurs a stonewall penalty with the Gunners already trailing by a goal on derby day.

Arsenal went on to rescue a point but the Swiss midfielder was brutally slammed by Gary Neville for clumsily diving in on Son Heung-min.

He said on commentary: "Absolute madness from Xhaka from an experienced player who never becomes experienced.

"He does it week in week out and never learns."

In the studio at half-time, Graeme Souness gave a similar opinion, chiding: “That’s something you learn in your first week as a professional.”
