Icardi Valencia loan to spark transfer merry-go-round with Rodrigo to Atleti and Correa to Milan

MAURO ICARDI could set in motion a significant chain of transfers if he finally accepts a move away from Inter Milan.

Valencia are the latest club to come in for the outcast striker despite his determination to stay put.

Reports in Italy name agent Jorge Mendes as the man charged by Inter with securing Icardi’s exit.

Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Napoli, Roma, Monaco and recently Paris Saint-Germain have all been brought up as possible destinations.

And yet Icardi has rejected them all – and is expected to do so again with this Valencia loan-to-buy proposal.

That is even though he is currently suing Inter for £1.4million for being denied entry into the pre-game tactical drills arranged by coach Antonio Conte, who has no intention of playing the Argentine.

Stripped of the club captaincy in the spring, the controversial forward has also lost his No9 shirt.

Should Inter get Icardi’s exit over the line, they may end up helping strengthen rivals AC Milan as part of a late transfer merry-go-round.

Valencia signing the forward would likely allow Rodrigo Moreno to leave for Atletico Madrid.

A £55million move has been speculated over all summer but Los Che are yet to green light the Spaniard’s switch.

Should Atleti get their man, back-up attacker Angel Correa is touted to seal his frequently rumoured transfer to Milan.

The European transfer market deadline comes on Monday evening.
