Napoli found themselves chasing a three goal deficit after Danilo, Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Juve.

De Ligt started the match well, but the £67.5million summer signing was unrecognisable in the second half.

Kostas Manlos pulled one back for the visitors before De Ligt's lifeless defending allowed Hirving Lozano to double their tally.

Lozano was on his own in the penalty area, but instead of sprinting back to mark him, the 20-year-old took a leisurely jog.

Piotr Zielinkski saw his chance and pinged the ball into the Napoli forward, who effortlessly sidefooted the ball past Wojciech Szczesny.

The former Ajax defender was then caught flatfooted as Giovanni Di Lorenzo scored from close range after a free kick from Zielinkski.
