Man Utd legend Ryan Giggs insists Welsh starlet Daniel James is not a diver
RYAN GIGGS has insisted Dan James is no diver — and the Manchester United winger needs more protection.
The £15million Welshman was booked by ref Jon Moss in Monday’s 1-1 draw at Wolves for simulation.
James, 21, was booed by the Molineux crowd, but Wales boss Giggs said: “He gets kicked a lot.
“Sometimes if you anticipate it, it looks like a dive. I’m not worried. He gets a lot of stick and referees need to protect him.”

James was blasted by fans after the clear dive at Molineux.
Scott McTominay recently revealed he has developed a close bond with the young winger since his move from Swansea.
James, had a tough start to his United career after his father died just days before he signed for the Red Devils in June.
But his new Scottish teammate said: "I've had a really really close bond with him since he came to club.
"I knew a bit about him before he came and I am just so, so pleased.

Giggs also confirmed Gareth Bale will captain Wales in their Euro qualifier against Azerbaijan on September 6.
And Giggs is delighted Bale looks to be staying at Real Madrid, adding: “Hopefully now it’s sorted out, Gareth stays and plays games.”
