Neymar, 27, has already felt the wrath of PSG fans after his public comments pining for an exit, with both Barca and Real Madrid keen to bring him back to Spain.

Despite missing his side’s opening two Ligue 1 matches, he has been the subject of abuse from supporters through X-rated songs and banners demanding he leaves.

Now the Samba superstar appears to have responded to that criticism via his Instagram account.

He posted a quote from reggae legend Marley on to his story which read: “People are hated when they are real, and loved when they are fake.”

Naturally, many now believe this is a clear message to those who have been abusing him.

Talks are ongoing over the forward’s situation with Madrid keen to tie up a season-long loan move with an obligation to buy.

Barca are also still trying to thrash out a deal to get him back to the Nou Camp.

And Juventus have also joined the chase for the South American.

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel has accepted the prospect Neymar could be heading out the exit door – but only if the French champions sign a replacement before the European transfer window closes on September 2.

After defeat at Rennes on Sunday, he said: “We can't lose Neymar without replacing him.

“If we keep him, we have a player that can win the one-on-ones and that is sometimes necessary.

“Nothing has changed. The market is open, it will not be resolved today or tomorrow, things are not set in stone.”
