Man Utd ace Alexis Sanchez arrives for training after ‘agreeing’ Inter Milan transfer as stars prepare for Wolves
ALEXIS SANCHEZ arrived at Manchester United training this morning after "agreeing terms" to join Inter Milan, according to reports.
And a deal could even be done within the next 24 hours as the Italian club look to tie down the forward as soon as possible.
It is understood the Manchester United flop is prepared to take a major pay cut as part of the move, which would be an initial season-long loan with an option to buy.
Sanchez, 30, has scored just five goals in 45 appearances for the Red Devils since signing for the club last January.
The switch saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan head to Arsenal as Sanchez secured a £505,000-a-week salary at Old Trafford.
And it was those massive wages that appeared to be a major stumbling block for any move this summer, with few clubs able to afford the Chilean.
But after previously refusing to leave the club, Sanchez now looks on course to be on his way to ending his Old Trafford nightmare.
And he will do so by accepting wages lower than former team-mate Romelu Lukaku, who moved from United to Inter earlier this summer and became the San Siro club's biggest-ever earner.
According to the , a deal is 'on the cusp of being agreed' with Inter set to pay £4.5million up front with a further £16.5m at the end of a second season-long loan.
United, though, want £22m up front.
claims the transfer could be all wrapped up within 24 hours but there is still plenty to be agreed before any announcement is made.
It is understood Sanchez's agent is in England to try and sort out his client's future, with clubs in Europe having until September 2 to conclude their summer business.
Fernando Llorente could be another option if they cannot get Sanchez over the line.
But United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently claimed Sanchez will have a part to play if he remains at the club this season.
He said: "Alexis is such a pro and he comes in working every single day really hard and wants to be a part of this.
“It's these stories that he's been put in the reserves - of course he hasn't, he's had three weeks now, he's a few weeks behind the rest but close to being ready.
“We don't have the biggest forward line in numbers, so Alexis might end up playing a lot more games than you expect, we expect him to come good at this club, he's quality.”

Elsewhere, the rest of United's players are making their final preparations to face Wolves tomorrow night.
The Molineux club won two and drew one of the three meetings with United last season.
But after thumping Chelsea 4-0 last weekend, Solskjaer will be confident his side can turn his side's fortunes around.
