The Ligue 1 side have been rocked by Radamel Falcao’s desire to join Turkish outfit Galatasaray.

claims Monaco have earmarked free agent Sturridge, 29, as his replacement.

The French publication claims the former Liverpool striker has a number of ties with the Ligue 1 club.

And that he is open to a move to France after enjoying a holiday to Monaco last summer.

Falcao only has 12 months remaining on his deal in the Principality and is keen for an early exit.

However, he is not the only one attracting interest from Turkey.

Sun Sport reported earlier this week that Fenerbahce have offered the ex-Chelsea and Manchester City star a £9m-a-year package to join them after his six-year stint at Anfield ended in June.

But they are just one of several teams from overseas hoping to snap-up Sturridge.

He is believed to have 13 offers in total from across the globe.

They include MLS outfit DC United, where he could replace the soon-to-be departed Wayne Rooney, La Liga’s Real Betis, Marseille and Serie A side Bologna.

Now his future is expected within the next week as he considers his next move.

But it is not only teams from Europe and the USA keen on the forward.

It has also emerged that a potential switch to Qatar is on the table.

Sturridge has just been given the green light to resume playing after serving a short ban for breaching betting rules.

The FA are appealing the length of that suspension – which will be determined by an independent panel – as they look to extend it to six months.
