Newcastle boss Steve Bruce’s amazing scorpion kick shows he has better first touch than Mkhitaryan, joke fans
STEVE BRUCE’S scorpion kick attempt had Arsenal fans joking the 58-year-old manager has a better half than Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The game was goalless going into the first 45 with fans not given much to shout about for either side.
However, ex-Manchester United defender Bruce became the talking point of the half thanks to a moment five minutes until the interval.
After the ball was smashed out of play the Newcastle boss had his eyes on the prize and pulled of a brilliant backheel.
Fans joked Bruce had a "better touch than Mkhitaryan" with the Gunners playmaker having a first-half to forget at St James’ Park.
One said: "58 year old Steve Bruce is a better footballer than Mkhitaryan."
Another said: "I’d have Steve Bruce over mkhitaryan on our right wing."
One commented: "Steve Bruce having a better half than Mkhitaryan."
Mkhitaryan started on the right wing with record signing Nicolas Pepe only managing a space on the bench.
The Armenian failed to take his chance though after losing possession 15 times in the first-half against Newcastle, according to Squawka Football.
That was FIVE times more than any other player on the pitch.
