Bungling West Ham accidentally include hated Marco Arnautovic in Instagram team news to face Man City
WEST HAM seemed to forget that Marco Arnautovic left over the summer judging by their social media howler.
The Hammer listed the hated former striker as their No7 for the clash against Manchester City - when it should have been new signing Sebastien Haller.
Arnautovic joined Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG last m0nth after a lengthy transfer saga.
One eagle eyed fan pounced on the mistake. Lars Heldal Larsen tweeted the initial line-up with the caption: "West Ham with a good start to the season. Arnautovic on top."
Another supporter was in disbelief, tweeting: "Everyone complaining about Fornals not starting when I believe the main talking point is how we’ve re-signed Arnautovic and told absolutely no one about it."
Other fans saw the funny side, as one tweeted: 'Hilarious', while another one wrote: "This is gold."
The Instagram story showing the incorrect line-up was later deleted and replaced with the proper one showing the actual starting XI.
Austrian striker Arnautovic pushed for an exit from the club in January before he eventually got his way after SIPG splashed out £23million for his services.
His turbulent spell at West Ham infuriated Arnautovic's brother, Danijel, who accused the club of mishandling Marko.
Previously, he said: "He’s not a cow or a horse which you bring to market.
“He’s a highly talented footballer who is simply being used by West Ham. He’s just a number to them.”
