The trio have all shown an interest in a permanent deal for the Everton defender, who is valued at £10million, ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.

SunSport revealed last month West Brom are also keen on the former England Under-21 ace.

But it is understood the Championship club could struggle to compete financially with the three clubs in the top-flight.

Holgate, 22, has two years left on his Goodison Park contract but if the clubs step up their interest it could test Marco Silva’s resolve.

The Harry Maguire £85m deal from Leicester to Manchester United has put Prem clubs on alert.

The Foxes have been linked with Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake and James Tarkowski of Burnley as a result.

Brendan Rodgers is also keen to be reunited with Kristoffer Ajer, who he worked with during his time at Celtic.

Although happy with defenders Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu and captain Wes Morgan, the Northern Irishman is an admirer of the Norway international and has the 21-year-old on his long-term shortlist.
