Lukaku ‘ORDERED’ to delete confidential sprint stats tweet by Man Utd after leak infuriates club and team-mates
ROMELU LUKAKU was ORDERED to delete his tweet that revealed confidential sprint stats by Manchester United after the leak infuriated both the club and his team-mates, according to reports.
The Belgium striker, who has endured his fair share of criticism from fans, had posted the times of each player's max speed during training.
The 26-year-old was firing back at his critics who mocked his "lack of pace" by highlighting that his figures were only behind Diogo Dalot in the team.
However the video also unveiled the rest of the player's stats and exposed Luke Shaw as having finished bottom of the pile behind Juan Mata.
The Spaniard, who was second slowest, replied: "Thanks for finally showing the world that I'm quicker than @LukeShaw23 bro."
The England defender then hit back by claiming he was told not to run at full speed by saying: "They only wanted me to go 70 per cent don’t let me start speaking on you boy."
Lukaku later tweeted an apology saying: "Shawrry."
While both Mata and Shaw clearly saw the funny side, many of the other players and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer were less than impressed, according to
The post was swiftly deleted after Lukaku had started an online debate and the report claims he was ordered to take it down.
