THERE is nothing like Messi about in boats - especially after a frightening night in Ibiza.

Lionel Messi shrugged off being led to safety after a reveller allegedly "tried to fight" him by joining fellow legends Luis Suarez and Cesc Fabregas, plus wives and children, for a glorious beach-and-yacht break.

And for once Suarez outshone Barcelona team-mate Messi - at least for the brightness of his shorts - as the trio jet-skied and lapped up the sun.

Ex-Liverpool striker Suarez enjoyed his last moments of downtime before he returns to the challenge of keeping his Nou Camp starting spot after the £108million arrival of World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann.

And if Messi was the GOAT on the boat, Suarez was the king of bling, with his multi-coloured fruit-print shorts.

The superstars chose Formentera, the smallest and most exclusive of Spain's Baleearic islands, for their blissful trip.

And judging from their antics no-one would have known the latest season is almost upon us as Messi, Suarez and their former Barca pal Fabregas, now with Monaco, relaxed, reclined and also revved it up on a motorboat.

Yet the idyllic scenes came just hours after footage emerged of security staff reportedly escorting Messi away from an Ibiza party after a flare-up.

There is no suggestion Messi, 32, did anything wrong.

It was just the type of outing fans dream of as the families of Barca legends soaked up the sun away from crowds

And it is thought he was only bundled off because a man confronted him.

After visiting Antigua and Barbados, the 32-year-old has joined long-term friends Suarez, Fabregas and Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba for some Mediterranean meandering.

The 30-something foursome are regularly seen out together.

And these latest snaps, on sand, sea and yacht, suggest their families too are just as comfortable together.

Messi's wife Antonella Roccuzzo, 31, who is a fellow Argentine, wore a summer dress strikingly similar to Germany's colours.

Daniella Semaan, Fabregas's 44-year-old wife, strolled around in a kight wrap-round skirt and red bikini top.

And Sofia Balbi wore all white as the families interchanged time on the yacht with barefoot fun on the golden shoreline.
