Man Utd ‘step closer’ to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic transfer as Lazio demand £81m and ‘£5.4m-a-year wage is agreed’
MANCHESTER UNITED are edging closer to sealing an £81million deal for Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports.
It is claimed the Red Devils have already agreed personal terms with the midfielder.
According to Italian news outlet Radiosei, United have offered Milinkovic-Savic, 24, a salary of £5.4m a year.
But no fee has been agreed between the two clubs yet, although it is understood Lazio are holding out for £81m.
The Serb's agent - and former Chelsea flop Mateja Kezman - reportedly held talks with Old Trafford chiefs in London last week.
And Milinkovic-Savic is believed to have told his team-mates already he is leaving the Rome-based side this summer.
But his move to Manchester reportedly depends on whether Paul Pogba, 26, will eventually force his Red Devils exit through.
SunSport exclusively revealed that Real Madrid were preparing a last-ditch attempt to land the French World Cup winner.
But Los Blancos president Florentino Perez has blocked Gareth Bale's mega-money switch to China.
The Welshman's departure was supposed to free up funds earmarked for the Pogba transfer.

And since Bale, 30, now seems to be staying put, Zinedine Zidane's move for the Red Devils star is in doubt.
Meanwhile, United are still chasing Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes, 24.
The midfielder was in tears yesterday after being subbed off in his side's friendly against Valencia.
