Crystal Palace tell Everton and Arsenal Wilfried Zaha is not available at ANY price after rejecting Toffees’ £55m transfer bid

EVERTON have been told that Wilf Zaha is not available at any price.

Crystal Palace turned down an offer worth a total of £55million for their Ivory Coast international before insisting a second bid would be pointless.

Everton, who offered £52m plus add-ons, were ready to make another attempt.

But Palace, who have turned down £40m from Arsenal, are stressing – for the time being at least – Zaha is not available.

The South London club believe they would be unable to find a suitable replacement.

Palace had been ready to accept £80m for Zaha but – having sold Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United for £50m – they do not need the money.

But Selhurst Park chairman Steve Parish reckons that the club will start the season with Zaha in the team.

Zaha was prepared to move to the North-West even though he had set his heart on a switch to Arsenal.

The 26-year-old has seemed determined to get a move away from his beloved Selhurst Park.

A year ago, he was hoping to land a move to Tottenham but that fell through as club chairman Daniel Levy did not have enough money.

After last season, Zaha claimed he was determined to land a move to a Champions League club – before then saying he wanted a transfer switch to his childhood team Arsenal – who will only be playing in the Europa League.
