REAL MADRID will make a last-gasp bid to land Paul Pogba after shifting Gareth Bale.
The Spanish giants are on the brink of offloading Bale, 30, to Jiangsu Suning in China.
That will free up his £600,000-a-week wages to allow a late attempt to sign the Manchester United midfielder for £150MILLION.
Pogba, 26, is wanted by Real boss Zinedine Zidane as the biggest signing of his summer revamp after returning to the club in March.
Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo have also been signed, with Bale forced out.
Bale’s £1m-a-week move to the Chinese Super League is almost complete, with just the final touches left to seal his switch to the Far East.
HUGE PROFIT
Real will then target Pogba after the France star made it clear to United he wants to go.
United spoke to Real last month when they were in England to steal Hazard away from Chelsea.
Pogba has an asking price of £150m, which would mean a huge profit on the £89million United paid Juventus in 2016.
It would be the biggest transfer in Premier League history, topping the £145m Barcelona paid for Philippe Coutinho — should he move.
More man united news
Pogba’s is still the biggest transfer fee paid by a Prem club but his second spell at United has seen dramatic ups and downs in form.
Zidane believes he can get the best out of his fellow Frenchman and World Cup winner by making him the main man in a deeper role.
Meanwhile, Wolves have signed Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo, 22, on a season-long loan.
