Arsenal transfer bid for Kieran Tierney ‘contains too many add-ons dependent on Champions League qualification’ which Celtic don’t trust
CELTIC look set to reject Arsenal's latest offer for Kieran Tierney as it contains too many add-ons dependent on Champions League qualification, reports say.
The cash-strapped Gunners' latest bid of £25m for left-back Tierney included instalments rather than a one-off payment.
And, according to , Scottish giants Celtic believe the add-ons are unrealistic and want the cash upfront.
Arsenal's original offer of £15m for the 22-year-old was rejected in June but a deal is expected to be struck.
It is likely to break the current Scottish transfer record, currently set last summer when Moussa Dembele signed for Lyon from the Hoops in a £19.7m deal.
Unai Emery is keen on bringing Tierney to the Emirates Stadium but is also attempting to bolster Arsenal's squad with other arrivals.
Emery said: "I want to sign one, two, three or four players only if we can be sure they are coming to improve our team.
"There are a lot of names. The club is working, [new sporting director] Edu is very close to me and Raul [Sanllehi, head of football]. We speak every day."
Arsenal are believed to have beaten Tottenham to the signing of Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba in a £27m deal.

They are also said to be keen on bringing Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos to the Premier League on loan.
But Crystal Palace's star man Wilfried Zaha remains their top target despite his hefty price tag.
Arsenal saw a £40m bid for the Ivorian forward rejected with Selhurst Park chiefs valuing Zaha at £80m.
