Alloa star Parry could need plastic surgery after horror collision against Hibernian in Scottish League Cup clash
ALLOA goalkeeper Neil Parry could need plastic surgery after suffering a horror face injury on Saturday.
The Wasps No1 was left bloodied after being caught accidentally by Christian Doidge as he attempted to stop Hibs' opener.
Fears mounted as blood poured from his head on to the pitch as medics quickly rushed onto the scene.
Fortunately he was able to walk off swathed in bandages and boss Peter Grant admits it was a nasty injury.
He said: "Neil got a bad one and was taken to hospital after the game.
"There is talk that there might be a bit of plastic surgery needed, along the stitches.
"He was brave to come for the ball and it was a complete accident.
"Neil had a combination of injuries - his nose was bleeding and he has a scar on the top of his head.
"That's the concern. The wound is too wide, so they are talking about him maybe needing plastic surgery.
"But Neil is a strong, willing boy. He seems okay but he went to the hospital."
Hibs secured a 2-0 win courtesy of Doidge and Thomas James at Easter Road.
