Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha tells Crystal Palace he wants to quit club on return from Africa Cup of Nations
ARSENAL target Wilfried Zaha has told Crystal Palace he wants to leave.
The Gunners have already had a £40million bid rejected but will be encouraged by the Ivory Coast forward pressing the Eagles for an exit now he is back from the African Cup of Nations.
Zaha, 26, has been in scintillating form for Palace since returning from a troubled two-year spell with Manchester United in 2015.
Tottenham, as well as United, have been linked with a move for a player Eagles boss Roy Hodgson is keen to keep.
But yesterday Hodgson insisted frontrunners Arsenal are, so far, way off the mark with their bidding.
The ex-England manager told Sky Sports: "I don't think Arsenal have actually made a bid that has come anywhere near our valuation.
"I'm sure the player realises that if someone's going to take him away from us, he'll expect clubs to pay the market value.
"Until someone does that, there's not much to discuss regarding Wilf."

Zaha is reportedly Unai Emery's transfer priority - but the Arsenal boss has little more than £45m to spend this summer.
And Palace are hoping for at least twice that for former England Under-21 star Zaha.
One option mooted is a cash-plus-players offer, possibly including Gunners like defenders Carl Jenkinson and Calum Chambers.
