MASON GREENWOOD could start Manchester United's first game of the Premier League season against Chelsea, says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Red Devils teen opened the scoring in the 4-0 victory against Leeds at Optus Stadium in Perth earlier today.
Greenwood, 17, was part of United's front three in the first half - alongside Marcus Rashford and Dan James.
He also came off the bench in the 2-0 win over Perth Glory last week.
The Red Devils teen made three top-flight appearances under Solskjaer last season.
But the Norwegian has revealed that Greenwood's form has been so impressive he might keep his place in the starting line-up once the new Prem campaign begins.
Solskjaer said: "He has a chance to start against Chelsea. I won’t say it is not a possibility.
"It is a good possibility if he keeps going as he does."
Greenwood's performance against Leeds made United fans believe that he is a better forward than Romelu Lukaku, 26, who is nearing his Old Trafford exit.

SunSport understand that Inter Milan are ready to meet United's £75million asking price for the Belgian.
But they are only willing to come up with a guaranteed £60m paid over three years, with a further £15m available in add-ons.
Lukaku fuelled speculation that the deal is close when he told reporters in Australia on Saturday: "You will know something next week."
