Gareth Bale agent denies claims Spurs have bid £55m to tempt Real Madrid into selling unwanted ace
GARETH BALE'S agent has laughed off any suggestion that Tottenham have launched a bid for the Welshman.
The Real Madrid winger could leave Los Blancos this summer having fallen out of favour with boss Zinedine Zidane.
He has been linked with a move back to the Premier League with Manchester United and former club Tottenham.
A huge £1.2million-a-week deal to China has also been rumoured which Bale has turned down.
Rumours circulated today that Tottenham were plotting a £55million bid but agent Jonathan Barnett has bluntly claimed the reports as "rubbish."
He declined to go on talkSPORT to discuss the player's future but left the blunt statement: "I don't comment on rubbish."
The 29-year-old spent six successful years in North London before making the-then world record move to La Liga.
Despite six major trophies including four Champions League winners medals, he has failed to win the hearts of supporters at Madrid.
He was even abused by his club's own fans when he returned for pre-season training earlier this week.
