ARSENAL fans have been drooling over "special" Gabriel Martinelli - after their new signing scored a routine training goal on their pre-season tour.
The Brazilian, 18, is the Gunners only signing of the window so far but his skills have given supporters something to cheer about.
Arsenal's pre-season tour has already been marred by club captain Laurent Koscielny's decision to go on strike to force a transfer away from the club.
However, Martinelli is keen to make a positive impression on Gunners fans after he was filmed taking part in shooting drills on the two-week tour.
In a video posted on Arsenal's official Instagram account, Martinelli side foots a routine finish into the far post before he then resets to control a high ball and volley home.
One fan wrote: "The way he rounded the prop...he's gonna be special", while another agreed by tweeting: "What a touch!"
A third added: "I believe in you 100% boy. Welcome Home."
Yet a less optimistic Gooner said: "So he doesn't have Bergkamp's touch? :("
Martinelli joined on a long-term contract at the start of the month after a deal to join Unai Emery's side was agreed at the beginning of the year.

He is the ninth Brazilian player to join the Emirates club and he revealed he hopes to emulate the success of his compatriots who came before him.
"I know Edu, Denilson and I know that they have a lot of history at the club," Martinelli told after joining.
"Edu, in particular, I had a little contact with him at Corinthians as I had a spell there and I know they had a lot of success here but also for the national team. I am going to try to follow the same route."
