ADIL RAMI has been suspended by Marseille after he ditched training to compete in TV show Fort Boyard where he participated in mud-wrestling.
The 33-year-old - who was recently branded a "monster" by Pamela Anderson after being dumped by the Baywatch star - is not allowed to take-part in the club's pre-season training.
According to , Rami failed to report to first team duty on May 20 - two days after the win against Toulouse in which he got injured in.
They state that the World Cup winner instead starred in an episode of French game show Fort Boyard, despite the player still nursing a muscle injury.
The episode aired on TV on June 29, with Marseille boss Rudi Garcia unaware that Rami had participated in the Crystal Maze-like show.
It has been claimed that the Ligue 1 side didn't find out about the centre-back's activities until after the end of the season.
Rami - who also failed to turn up for duty earlier this month - has been preparing himself for the new season by training in Cote D’Azur.
MLS DREAM
The player reportedly harboured dreams of finishing his career in the MLS, but his hopes are now over following his break-up with Anderson.
L'Equipe revealed that the 52-year-old actress had made contact with the shareholder of an MLS side to help Rami, but she will no longer look to help her former beau after she took to Instagram to claim he had been lying to her for two years.
She said: "The last (more than 2 years) of my life have been a big lie.

“He used to joke about other players, who had girlfriends down the street in apartments close to their wives, he called those men monsters.
“But this is worse. He lied to all. How is it possible to control two women’s hearts and minds like this. I’m sure there were others. He is the monster."
