The Brazilian, 27, was spotted at the airport in his homeland yesterday afternoon and he stopped for selfies with fans, just 20 minutes before his Air France flight was due to take off.

But after landing this morning, he arrived at PSG's training ground in a van around 9.10am and is expected to speak with sporting director Leonardo.

Neymar is in hot water with his employers after failing to turn up for pre-season training last week.

The club released a statement to blast their star man - but Neymar's dad insisted his son had been given permission to miss the start of training for the new campaign.

Neymar was back in Brazil to watch his team-mates win the Copa America after missing the tournament through an ankle injury.

And then the star risked further wrath by playing in a charity five-a-side tournament at the weekend, supporting his Neymar Junior Project Institute.

BACK TO BARCA?

PSG paid Barcelona a world-record £198million fee for the forward two years ago.

But despite winning the Ligue 1 title in both seasons, as well as the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue in 2017/18, he wants out.

He has his heart set on returning to the Nou Camp, where he would be reunited with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in one of the most-feared attacks in world football.

He even shared a video of him wearing a Barca shirt as he made his intentions crystal clear.

And Leonardo, the Parisian club's sporting director, revealed Neymar has been given the green light to move back.

He said: "Neymar can leave PSG if there is an offer that suits everyone."

Asked explicitly if Barca had been in touch over a return, Leonardo said: "Yes."
