Man Utd star Lukaku gives cryptic message as striker continues to be linked with Old Trafford exit
ROMELU LUKAKU has hinted there might be a breakthrough on his Manchester United future next week.
Inter Milan chiefs met with their Old Trafford counterparts on Thursday to discuss a potential £75million move for the Belgian striker.
But the Serie A giants are understood to be offering just £65m, with disagreements also over how the payments would be structured.
Lukaku, 26, however, has again fuelled speculations as he gave a cryptic message on his future following United's 2-0 win over Perth Glory.
He said: "You will know something next week," as he walked past reporters in Australia.
The Belgium international missed the victory over the Aussies with an injury.
The striker trained away from the rest of the Red Devils squad after he had felt a niggle in a morning session on Thursday.
And it was later decided he would sit out the evening training programme in Perth as a precaution.
Meanwhile, the summit meeting over Lukaku's future was to took place in London within hours.
And Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio then confirmed the Italians had made a formal approach to sign the United star.
He said: "It was an official approach between two important clubs. We'll see what happens.
